🎓 CUSA Annual Anniversary Scholarship - Applications Open July 15th, 2025!
We’re excited to welcome your applications for the CUSA Annual Anniversary Scholarship — a proud tradition since 2020, established to commemorate our association’s 45th anniversary. This scholarship is designed to support and inspire soccer players, coaches, and officials in their academic and athletic journeys.
🗓? Application Period:
Open July 15th, 2025! Submit your application on or before September 3, 2025.
💰 Scholarship Details:
- Four (4) scholarships available
- Each valued at $1,000
📌 Eligibility Criteria:
To apply, you must meet the following:
- Be a current or former CUSA member (or have a parent who is), with at least one full season of participation or officiating.
- Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate, graduate, or professional program at a recognized Alberta post-secondary institution.
- High school applicants must have confirmed admission; current post-secondary students must have maintained satisfactory academic standing in the previous academic year.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and potential to contribute meaningfully to the sport of soccer.
- Not have received this scholarship in the past 12 months.
? Athletic Performance:
Please include details such as:
- Club, school, or collegiate team involvement
- CUSA participation (yours or your parent’s)
- Notable achievements: league results, provincial/national appearances, etc.
🤝 Community Involvement:
Highlight your volunteer work over the past 3 years, including:
- Roles and responsibilities
- Time commitment
- Reference contact information
📄 Reference Letters:
Submit up to three (current within the last 24 months.) letters from individuals familiar with your soccer, academic, or community involvement.
